Rudi Staerker met King Farouk in Geneva in 1948 and moved to Egypt upon his invitation. He was involved in some of the most important projects in Egypt after the revolution, such as the Assouan Dam. The apartment was his private office and has been transformed into a spacious one-bedroom apartment suitable for the lone traveller or a couple sharing. including a private terrace overlooking the buzz of Downtown Cairo below.
